AKA, Nadia Nakai, Emtee, Major Lazer & Riky Rick All Trending On The Tube This Week

There’s almost always something fresh to watch on the tube; From music videos, random videos, original youtuber content to illegally streamed content, the list is endless. Every other week, we’ll share what we find interesting on the tube;

Family Tree’s Nadia Nakai dropped visuals for her record, Naaa Meeaan featuring superstar label-mate and boss Cassper Nyovest. The use of bright colors and cut-out props works well on a minimalist yet rich video. The simplicity suits the chilled trappy beat and adds emphasis on the verses. Very crisp visuals with appearances from Family Tree’s Tshego and Gemini Major.

AKA’s IIIWorld production agency drops episode 4 of the AKA on the road series. The episode breaks AKA’s latest single Starsigns featuring Stogie T. The crew hits Durban and Cape Town as they preview new music and swag up on Reebok merch. One of the best moments in this episode is AKA sharing a cute moment with his dad over the phone.

Vintage Emtee X Ambitiouz Entertainment type video. With a gangster storyline set in the hood, the video lacks character and feels lazy. For die-hard Emtee fans, it’ll do what it should. Cute appearance by Emtee’s first born son Avery.

UK youtubers Ubunifu Space react to Major Lazer & DJ Maphorisa’s smash-hit Particula. The record features Nasty C, Patoranking and Jidenna. The mid 70s styled visuals in the centre of Johannesburg are simply gorgeous, a beautifully shot video that celebrating rich urban black culture. They rated the video a deserved 9/10.

Riky Rick drops visuals for his second single off of his Stay Shining EP. Murdah is a hard-hitting turn-up joint featuring megastar Davido and super-producer Gemini Major. Set in an empty apartment building hosting what seems like a private dungeon party, the video is a vibe with clever use of visual effects. The video predominantly features big-booty chicks seen in typical hip-hop videos.
